DNA Test
evidence
Genuine Henri Paul 2 sample
not tested, readings copied from XM2
labelled Campana and used as FD2
Genuine Henri Paul 3 sample
not tested (2147 on cap)
Genuine Henri Paul 3
labelled for DNA tests
Becomes
Box 2: Plastic samples box
Containing residue from analyses
Note: Pepin stated that the analysed
blood samples were destroyed in 1998
Therefore, the only untested sample
used for DNA tests was the one below
from the first autopsy on 31/08/1997
Box 1: Polystyrene samples
box
Opened many times and resealed
Unidentified XM1
tested by Ricordel
Box 3: Plastic samples box
Note: The only one with a number
has ‘2147’ on its cap
XM Bottles possibly not labelled. Labels
created from accompanying forms.
Genuine Henri Paul 1 & 2
samples not tested
Unidentified XM2
tested by Pepin
Both destroyed in 1998
The genuine Henri Paul samples HP1, HP2 & HP3 could have been split numerous times,
re-bottled and labelled to suit requirements. The DNA tested blood could only have been
Henri Paul’s, from the first autopsy as stated by Dr Pepin. It could not have been the XM
samples because, as stated by Dr Pepin, they were all used up and destroyed in 1998.

If travelling in a straight line, it would not have been possible for a Fiat Uno to
leave white paint on the Mercedes front wing or door in the collision areas
(blue). The Fiat’s wing mirror would have also been knocked off.
These are the only two ways in which the Fiat could have left paint and
bumper material on the Mercedes without its wing mirror being knocked
off. But then the collision zones would not have matched.

The unidentified Renault 11 in Rat’s photo. Was it there at the time,
or was it photographed during the reconstruction and used to replace
the vehicle that was actually there?
It made no tyre marks in the glass debris.
No witness reported seeing it anywhere along the route,
or entering the tunnel on the night of the crash.
Diagram drawn by the French police, showing the long 32 metre skid marks
made by the Mercedes. The kink is significant as it shows that
either Henri Paul tried unsuccessfully to correct the skid or that the
Mercedes was hit by another car just before it crashed.
Operation Paget clearly did not wish the kink to be shown.

•
Diana was NOT trapped in the Mercedes as stated.
•
Bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones WAS wearing a seat belt.
•
The French police were wrong about how far the paparazzi were behind the Mercedes
•
The French police were wrong about the speeds of the paparazzi vehicles and the Mercedes.
•
Ritz Hotel and Etoile Limousine staff gave false information, which implicated Henri Paul.
•
The French authorities destroyed crucial evidence.
•
His friend stated that incriminating ‘evidence’ was planted in Henri Paul’s home.
•
The choice of hospital was pre-planned, which raises further questions.
•
The medical staff delayed Diana’s treatment, unwittingly or otherwise.
•
The actions of the paparazzi were covered up.
•
There was no substantive search for the white Fiat Uno.
•
If the rear light fragments found in the tunnel truly came from a Fiat Uno, it could have been any colour.
CONCLUSIONS OF THIS INVESTIGATION
THE CRASH
•
The blood tested for alcohol was taken from a body that came from the mortuary refrigerator room.
•
Henri Paul’s body was NOT refrigerated.
•
Henri Paul was neither drunk nor speeding.

CONCLUSIONS & APPENDICES

‘The nature of this investigation has been unprecedented. I decided that only a thorough, methodical and detailed
investigation would answer these extremely serious allegations. A dedicated team of New Scotland Yard Detectives from
the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Directorate has worked on the case from the moment I took charge of the
investigation. I want to thank them all for their dedication, especially the Senior Investigating Officer and his deputy.
‘Together, we have examined and taken account of the French investigation but it has not been our role to pass
judgement on French procedures and processes. I do, however, recognise that there are differences in the two
systems. I must also make it clear that it is not our role to prejudge those matters that will be heard in the
Coroner’s court. It is for Lady Butler-Sloss to decide the questions of who the deceased were, and where, when
and how they died.
‘Much has been written about the circumstances leading up to the crash and the effectiveness of the French
investigation that followed. We have been acutely aware of the responsibility placed upon us to approach this
investigation with an open mind and to ensure that the outcome was not predetermined.’
